The purpose of this page is to guide you through the creation of your product information in your EZ-NetTools e-commerce account. If your do not have an EZ-NetTools e-commerce account, you do not need to worry about this discussion.
There are two methods for getting product information into your EZ-NetTools catalog.
The first method is to enter product information one product at a time using the EZ-Catalog online interface under the construction tools tab. This is the simplest method for creating an online catalog. If you do not have very many products ( less than several hundred) you should give serious consideration to enter data this way. Contact technical support if you need help getting started.
The second method is to import product information from a data file. This data file could be created from a spreadsheet program or a data base program. While the catalog important feature can be used to create an EZ-NetTools catalog very quickly and efficiently it does require that the data be in a very specific format. Learning how to get the data in that format can require some effort and technical knowledge. Once you understand the process, it works very well. However, because of this learning curve, we suggestion that you use this method only if you have many products (several hundred or more ) that are already in some electronic format.

If you decide to use the import method, the rest of this page will provide additional helps. There are three versions of the spreadsheet you can use to import your catalog. For those with simple catalogs, the first sample has only the basic columns needed. The third option has columns for all possible options available in the catalog.
Most catalogs can be created with just a few pieces of information. The simple spreadsheet is by far the easiest spreadsheet to deal with. It is recommended that, it at all possible, you use the simple spreadsheet to enter in your product information.

Depending on the types of products that you sell, you may need to have options with your products. For example, if you sell t-shirts, you may want to offer your t-shirts in many colors. Adding "options" will let you create a selection box like this:

If neither of the previous spreadsheets meet your needs, you may want to try the full spreadsheet. Note, however, that the full spreadsheet is much harder to fill out than the normal spreadsheet. Many of the fields in the spreadsheet may be a bit confusing. If you do get confused, however, feel free to contact technical support and we will answer any questions you may have.
